Before you get started, here are clear answers to the most common questions about working with Edwards Tax Prep — so you feel confident, informed, and supported every step of the way.

Do you work virtually?

Yes. Edwards Tax Prep is fully virtual. You can complete intake, submit documents, review your return, and sign securely online without needing an in-person appointment.

How long does the tax process take?

Most returns are prepared within 48–72 hours once all documents are submitted. More complex returns may take longer. You will receive updates throughout every step of the process.

Do you work with self-employed clients?

Yes. We specialize in service-based entrepreneurs, contractors, gig workers, and Schedule C filers. We help you claim allowable deductions and protect you from IRS red flags.

What if I only want to see my refund amount?

Preparing your return is a professional service. If your return is completed and you choose not to file with Edwards Tax Prep, a Preparation-Only Fee will apply before any draft or forms are released.

What if the IRS contacts me after filing?

We do not disappear after submission. If you receive an IRS or state notice, we guide you on the next steps and help you understand the cause and documentation required.

What if I’m unsure or nervous?

You don’t have to know everything. Start with the intake form. We review your situation, explain what’s missing, and guide you through each step in a clear, human way.

Tax preparation is a professional service, and the work happens before the return is filed.

If your return has been completed and you decide not to file through Edwards Tax Prep, a Preparation-Only Fee will apply. This fee must be paid before any draft, estimate, or completed tax forms are released.

This protects the time, analysis, and expertise invested in your return.

You are not left on your own after your return is filed.

If you receive an IRS or state notice, you can reach out so we can review it together. I will help you:

• Understand why you received the letter
• Identify what documentation is being requested
• Determine the next steps to respond appropriately

You do not have to have everything figured out before you begin.

Start with the intake form. I will review your information, let you know what is missing, and walk you through what needs to happen next. My goal is to make sure you feel informed and supported, not rushed or judged.
